Show CPR Course Will Open In Panguitch Saturday A Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course to train instructors wil be held Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Panguitch Middle School. The course is annually offered somewhere in southwestern Utah and, as a result of a request made last year by Emergency Medical Technician operations officer Bob McCullough and Paul Arnstein, director of nursing at Garfield Memorial Hospital, Panguitch was selected as the site for this year's training class. The four to six-hour course will cost $10 with no pre-registration necessary. The course is sponsored ,and presented by the Utah Heart Association. Albert Orton, affiliate faculty member of UHA will instruct the class. Those currently involved in public health education, industrial safety programs, public education, and leaders in public service organizations are particularly encouraged to participate in the course Several EMTs and hospital personnel already trained as instructors will recertify in the course. |
