Show Owens Reunion Brings 160 Members to Lake Panguitch and Panguitch Lake were the scenes where more than 160 members of the Owens clan gathered Saturday for a family reunion, with the most prominent family member present Wayne Owens, a Democratic candidate for Utah's governor's post. The day-long events began with a family business meeting at the Panguitch Community Baptist Church where the main topic discussed was family genealogical records. An entertainment and tribute meeting followed until 1 p.m. Family members left the church building to walk across Main Street to the south lawn of the Garfield County Courthouse for lunch. Later in the evening, the group moved to Panguitch Lake for a bonfire, weiner roast and games. The oldest family member was an 82-year-old and the youngest, several babes in arms. |
