Show Roe Will Conduct Hunter Safety Course Hunter Safety Instructor Earl Roe is again offering a day-long gun safety class to first-time hunters. The class is offered mostly to benefit those older students planning to hunt deer. Therefore, students younger than 15V4 are discouraged from registering for the class. The day-long instruction will be taught on September 24 at the Panguitch Middle School. It will begin at 8 a.m. and last until approximately 7 p.m. Pre-rcgistration is required with Roe before September 17. Fee for the class will be $4. Study materials will be given at pre-registration so the student may prepare for the classroom instruction on the 24th. A .22 rifle and a box of bullets should be brought on that day as part of the training. Testing will include a target shoot at the rifle range. Utah residents under age 21, hunters for the first time, are required to certify in gun safety and hunting ethics before purchasing a hunting license.
