Show Russell "Russ" Henrie Psychologist Joins Local Service Staff 'Participating with people as they make important changes in their lives" is what Russell "Russ" Henrie, newest staff member at Family Life Services inPanguitch likes most about his work. Henrie, 32, will function on a full time basis as associate psychologist at the Panguitch and Kanab offices of the Family Life Services on an alternating schedule serving residents of both Kane and Garfield Counties. Henrie has served for the past two i years as a psychology Intern at the University of Utah Counceling Center in Salt Lake City. He gained varied experience in individual; marriage and family, and group counseling and specialized in career counseling. ' He graduated from Brlgham Young University with a bacelors degree in ' psychology and a minor in philosophy. His graduate work was done at the U of U, Dedicated to his career, he has accomplished a considerable amount of Research in counseling outcomes and in evaluating the effectiveness of counceling techniques. He has also been interested in researching the efficacy of outdoor activities in helping people. Presently his research activities are focusing on group interaction. Henrie, who w reared in Calabasas, California. i his wife, Cindi are the parents of three children: Andy, 8; Rachel, 0; and Marlta; 3.
