Show School Lunch Price Policies Set Forth Garfield County School District's policy for free and reduced price meals for children unable to pay the full price for lunch served under the Federal Child Nutrition Program for the school year were announced. Children from families whose income meets the guidelines are eligible for free or reduced price lunches under the program. Reduced price lunches will cost 40 cents. For a family of one, an income up to $6,080 will qualify a child for free lunches, from $6,081 to $8,660 for reduced price lunches for a family of two, an income up ot $8,090 will qualify for free lunches, from $8,091 to $11,510 for reduced price lunches; and for a family of three, up to $10,090, free lunches, from $10,091 to $14,360 for reduced price lunches. A family of four, may earn up to $12,090 and qualify for free lunches, from $12,091 to $17,210 and qualify for reduced price lunches. A family of five may earn up to $14,090' and qualify for free luenches, and from $14,091 to $20,050 and qualify for reduced price lunches. A family of six may earn up to $16,090 and qualify for free lunches and from $16,091 to $22,900 and qualify for reduced price lunches. A family of seven may earn up to $18,100 and qualify for free lunches, and from $18,101 to $25,750 and qualify for reduced price lunches. A family of eight may earn up to $20,100 and qualify for free lunches, and from $20,101 to $28,600 and qualify for reduced price lunches. Each additional family member changes the scale in Increments of $2,000 and $2,850, respectively. Families may apply by completing the applications sent home with their child and returning them to school. Every child will receive an application. Applications may be submitted at any time during the year. If a family member becomes unemployed or if the family size changes, the family may contact the school and re-apply. All children are treated the same regardless of ability to pay. In the operation of child feeding programs, no child will be discriminated against because of race, sex, creed, color, or national origin. Any parent not in agreement with the decision made by the individual school with respect to an application submited, may contact Superintendent Henry Jolley at the school district office at 145 East Center in Panguitch. Regular prices of schoo) lunches are set at 80 cents for elementary school children, 90 ."cents for high schoolers and $1.50 for adults. |
