Show More File For Garfield School Board Four school board candidates had filed as the final date for filing rolled around June 30. Challenging incumbent LaMar Feltner in Precinct Four will be Margaret Shakespeare. Feltner is a resident of Tropic and Mrs. Shakespeare resides just east of Tropic. In Precinct Five, the contest will be between James A. "Scot" McDonald, Boulder, and Daine Anderson, Antimony.. Nile Sawyer, Hatch, who has completed his term for Precinct five elected not to run for the post again. Both school districts' boundaries were changed somewhat at meetings held in early spring to reapportion school precinct boundaries according to a state law which requires such reapportionment every 10 years following the census. |
