La el and Sharee Spencer of Salt Lake City visited the Mait Spencers and the Johnny Alveys. The Lorenzo Griffins had Lewis and Jean here from Provo. Melvin and Florence Alvey went to Panguitch to visit her brother, Howard Prince who just got out of the hopsital. The Alveys had Rick and Helen Pruitt from Richfield, Lucinda and Neiman Duncan from Cedar City spent the weekend and help pick apples. The Edson Alveys had Arvonne and Dee Whlttaker from Washington. The DUP held their montly meeting Thursday with Captain Jan Liston presiding. The minibus took a group to Orderville Friday for the yearly convention. The minibus took a group to St. George. Morris and Neta Shirts had grandson, Robert and family here from Fillmore where he is teaching seminary. Clema Barney and part of her family of Page spent the weekend with Jane Woolsey. Fay Alvey went North for coalition meetings and took Marie Hall to meet Lillian Shepard and spend some time in American Fork. Fay brought Nellie Bailey home from Central where she had visited a week. The Wanles Alveys had a weekend visit from Laurie and Chuck Winn of Salt Lake City, they stopped in Panguitch and picked up Audrey Lee. Guy Pollock of Richfield brought his mother, La Vina, here to visit her sister, Ideall Imley. Guy loaded back with wood. Gary Lane and Sandy Liston took a group of young people to St. George. Bill and Dana Griffin went to meet daughter, Patrice, and they went on a trip before coming home. Patrice reported her mission which started in Peru and finished in Texas. Kerry Dean Shurtz was awarded the Faith in God Award in sacrament meeting Sunday.
