Show Election Notice Elections are forthcoming for soil conservation board members (February 18, 1980 February 29, 1980.) There are two districts contained within Garfield County: Canyonlands, which includes from Tropic east to the county line; and Upper Sevier, which includes Antimony, John's Valley and everything west to the county line. Nominees for. Canyonlands area are: Barry Barnson; Melvin Brooks, incumbent; Gary Haws, inc.; Stanley Liston, inc.; Verland Rose and Thurman Spencer, inc. (You should vote for five). Nominees for Upper Sevier Area are: Carl Hatch, inc.; Konroy Henrie, inc.; Lowell Henrie, inc.; Melvin Miller; Leland Riggs, inc.; and Harold Sevy, inc. (You should vote for five) Nominees for Piute County are: Gary Allen, Nuel Anderson, inc.; Keith Ogden, inc.; Alton Sudweeks, inc.; Roger Westwood and Gail Whittaker, inc. Landowenrs not receiving a ballot by mail may request a ballot from the local SCS office at 215 East Center, Panguitch, or from the Soil Conservation Commission located at 147 N. 200 W., Salt Lake City, Utah 84103.
