Show Cannonville The combined preparation of the Cannonville and Henrieville firemen paid off well enough to cover most costs for needed hose and connections for efficient fire protection. A bountiful supply of food was donated, which made the ham dinner delicious. The 200-pound pig raffling was the high point of the evening. Chynoweth held the lucky ticket. Laurie Holley, mayor, estimated more than $600 was in the fire department bank account. Dave and Gwen Evans traveled to Delta Friday to attend funeral services for a niece. The Lark Reynolds family gathered for a special occasion the blessing of a grand-' daughter, given the name Amanda Lark. She is a daughter of Susan and James Choate, of Fredonia, Ariz. Brother Wayne did the honors of. blessing his niece. Also in attendance were Elaine Shakespear, a sister. Brother Nick was the only family member absent. A turkey, dinner was served by grandmother Bea after the services. Mr. and Mrs, Walter Choate, parents of James from Fredonia, were also a part of the group. Louise Eddy accompanied her son3 Elwood, Jr. and Bill to Phoenix for a week to visit their grandparents. Small daughter Ruthie met with an accident at church, requiring several stitches to close the wound. |
