Show Town Park Fund Raiser Set in Tropic TROPIC A fund raising activity to help raise money for Tropic's town park will take place Saturday evening at Bryce Valley high school. Residents will be able to see "Slipper and the Rose" with Richard Chamberlain, attend a dance afterwards, and enjoy inexpensive refreshments provided by Better Bryce Valley. The film, with its Austrian setting, exciting Cinderella story, and beautiful music is one of the better films to be presented in the area in many months. Better Bryce Valley members will serve hot dogs, soda pop, popcorn and cotton candy before the movie and afterwards at reasonable prices. Movie tickets are priced at $7.50 for a family ticket, $1.75 for adults, $1.50 for students, and seventy five cents for children 11 and under. Starting time for the movie is set at 7 p.m. The dance beginning at 9 p.m. will feature a repeat of many of the popular old records played for the New Years dance held last month. Dubbed the "Return of the Golden Oldies", the dance will spotlight Doug Ahlstrom as disc jockey. Tickets are $3.50 per couple or $2.00 for singles. |
