Show George' W. Pendleton George W. Pendleton, 70, of Reno, Nev., died Dec. 14. He was born Feb. 26, 1909 to Wilford Woodruff and Lucy Underwood Pendleton In Panguitch. He married Golda LeFevre Aug. 15, 1928 at Panguitch, later solemnized in the Oakland, Calif. LDS Temple. Well known to and repected by Panguitch residents, he was remembered as an avid fisherman. He and his wife resided in Reno where he was able to enjoy his favorite hobby, and it was while fishing at a lake near Reno that he died of a heart attack. Survivors: widow, Golda; two sons, Bruce and Monte; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Arlene) Packer; and grandchildren, all of Reno; two brothers, W. Earl, Panguitch, and Grant, San Jose, Calif; a sister, Mrs. Ellis (Nellie) Henrie, Ogden. Alice II. Dtinliam CANNONVILLE -Alice Henderson Dunham, 76, Cannonville, died Dec. 15, 1979 in a Panguitch hospital. She was born Jan. S, 1903, Cannonville, to William Jasper and Lydia Drucilla Johnson Henderson, Jr. She was married to Joseph Smith Dunham, Feb. 22, 1922, Kanab; later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. He died April 28, 1964. She was an active member of the Relief Society and was a visiting teacher. She was a Primary and MIA teacher and served as a temple worker in the St. George LDS Temple from 1972 to 1976. Survivors: sons, daughters, Mrs. Earl F. (Margaret) Braithwaite, Lay ton; Jay W., Salt Lake City; Merwin S., Mrs. La Vera Moss, both Cannonville; Edgar H., Canyonlands National Park; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Cannonville Ward chapel with Bishop Clele Fletcher, officiating. Jay W. Dunham offered the family prayer and Marva Fletcher played prelude and postlude music. Bob Preece offered the Invocation. Speakers were Van J. Dunham, Tom J. Dunham, George W. Thompson, Jim Clark and Bishop Fletcher. Music included vocal duet by Cathrine Lit-tlefield and Sheri Felt-ner; vocal quartet composed of Herman Pollock, Mary Twitchell, Anita Fletcher and Fave Rose; vocal duet by Malen and Viva Mecham. Lark Reynolds offered the benediction. Burial was in the Cannonville cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield, where Merwin S. Dunham offered the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were Edgar Lee Dunham, Van J. Dunham, Joseph B. Moss, Bob Preece, Aaron D. Moss. |
