Show Energy Crisis Program Underway in Garfield The Energy Crisis Assistance Program being administered through the Five County Association of Governments, is in effect in the area. In Utah there are approximately 62,118 families with Incomes which meet guidelines who could qualify for assistance under this program. Since January 1975, Utch's utility costs have risen an average of 96.1 percent. Income Increases haven't kept pace. This has created a crisis situation, particularly for the elderly population, the handicapped and the working poor, Eligibility will be based solely on income criteria. Households who qualify can receive $150 to $300 f maximum based on the type of fuel used in the home. Volunteers who worked with the ' program last year and other outreach workers will be helping applicants fill out the necessary forms.
