Show Escalante Chit Chat Fay Alvey Had a variety of weather. Snow and rain, i w hich turned to ice on the highway and even a slight thaw. Retha Shurtz is home after completing treatments. Garncal Smith is home to convalesce after surgery at Panguitch. Iris Porter is home from Sevier Valley Hospital. Richfield where they changed her medication in hopes her condition improves. Mack and Darlene Edmiston are home after visiting his folks in Texas. Dave and Debbie Eiman of Cortcz, Colo, are visiting the John Normans. Chuck Wayne is home from Iran. Arnold Button is back in this area conducting cougar tagging, and some special hunts for out of state lion lovers. Leah Button is in Kanab overseeing the building of their home. Marlene Haws went to Salt Lake City to attend postal meetings. Her daughter Jillyn accompanied her. Bernice Johnson came home from visiting in California. Sheri Michelangelo, registered nurse, has moved here to live and work. She is a granddaughter to Daniel and Orilla Bowles. Ester Reeves of Panguitch will help her get established and she will work two days a week at the local clinic. Dawn and Bill Griffin went to North Ogden to see their new granddaughter, born to Nicki and Evan Excell. visited relatives in California. On Saturday a large priesthood group went to St. George. A supper for the over 60 group to be enjoyed. Bill and Dawn Griffin brought their instruments and entertained us very nicely. Milan Munson quit college at Snow to come work -at the saw mill in preparation for an LDS mission. Arlis and Mclba Brooks just returned from Colorado and report the same kind of weather we are having here. LaRue Spencer accompanied me to Panguitch for a meeting on the council on aging. Sara Cowles and son Johnathan are here from Kemmerer, Wyo. to stay at the Chase Shurtz home. Bill and Beverly Kuhn His wife took him to Cedar City to board a plane to return to his job. Two important meetings were held last week. One was to organize a community council and the other to discuss the uses and remodeling of the North Ward church. The town is buying the church to use as a meeting place for clubs, family reunions and other public meetings. Sacrament meeting Sunday featured the Crawford family. He is the new math teacher. Talks were given by Mr. and Mrs. Crawford, Mary Jane, Vicki and Ricky. There are all sorts of axioms. This one is quite profound, "it's OK to have your head in the clouds as long as your feet are on the ground." |
