Show Panguitch FFA Report Events to Commission ; ! Representatives from the Panguitch Chapter of the Future Farmers of America organization were present recently at the monthly meeting of the Garfield School District Board of Trustees to render a report on FFA accomplishments this past school term. The election of officers for the upcoming 1979-80 school year had jusl'been completed and FFA advisor, Jack Soper was accompanied to the board meeting by former president, Mike Dalton, former vice-president, Lyn Crosby and new president Bob Barney. He spoke briefly on separate aspects of the FFA program citing examples of recent achievements both Individually and as an organization. Additional elected officers were secretary, Dave Henrie; treasurer, Kelly Hoi man; reporter, Allen Riggs and sentinel, Paul Hatch. FFA also recently held its annual banquet and voted both Marilyn Soper and Vee Worthen as honorary members for all the enthusiastic support they have rendered the group. Attending field day at SUSC this past week, the FFA officers were able to report that Panguitch chapter had received third place and individually, Dave Owens had received first place recognition. The gorup also attended ihe state contest at Logan. |
