I have heard a lot of comment about the attendance policy in the schools Now is the chance for anyone dissatisfied with the procedure to attend the Garfield County School Board meeting Thursday at 7 ap.m. to voice their opinion. I understand someone entered the development center, through broken windows and turned the water on in the basements. 1 am sure who ever did it thought it was a very innocent act but a man's life was at stake because of the prank The water rose about one and one-half feel running into some of the electrical sockets and shorting out some of the electricity. But the danger came when one of the men had to wade into the water to turn the tap off Had their been electrical currents running through the water it could have been very serious for him There are so many wonderful, important acts taking place by the teenagers nowadays that when something like this happens it puts a damper over the good actions. I visited the shop this week. The boys, under the direction of their teacher, Mr. Jack Soper are able to build neat things. They built tne school bleachers, did a lot of work on the development center, layed brick, built dog kennels, reubilt engines for their automobiles , gun cabinets, stereo cases and other great things. Keep up the good work boys. The girls have been sewing clothes. Many of the dresses worn to the Preference Ball the past weekend were sewn by the girls and they were beautiful! Thanks, Mrs. Alta Pierson for all the help you are giving the girls. Understand the Doug Burninghams are just about ready to move into their rc home, welcome bacK to Panguitch.
