Salt Lake City come to get their two boys, Jeff and Robert that has been staying in Panguitch since July 24 Recent visitors at Mamie Talbot's home have been Barbara Talbot, Granger where she works for the Granite School District; Lyle and Kathy Talbot and family and friends, the Ray Nerden's, Sandy. Steve Talbot. Provo where he works at BYU, newlyweds. Richard and Marilyn Talbot who have moved into their home in Provo to work and attend BYU this winter Karen and Dennis Williams and family stopped twice at Mamie's home, once on their way to Pocatello to vacation with Dennis' family and also on their way back to their home in Woodland Hills, Calif The first reunion of the Allen Miller family was held recently at Blue Spring Meadow. About 150 family members attended. Reid Miller, Wenda Sandin and Mamie Talbot were elected officers for the next year. Gaitha Miller Lyon was appointed genealogist of the family. Sarah Kay has in her possession a book by Sarah Elizabeth Titcomb titled "Early New England People" 1882 It contains Genealogy of Ellis, Pemberton, Willard, Prescott, Tit-comb, Sweall, Longfellow and Allied families. She would like to give it to someone who could use this information It doesn't matter how hard individual people work to make the county fair a success it cannot be a success without people viewing the entries, participating in the contests, games talent contests, barbershop quartets, and other ac tivitlea of the fair Lets support the Garfield County Fair Don't forget to give your blood to the Garfield Memorial bloodmobile You may save the life of a friend or loved one by giving a pint of blood The hospital would be happy if they could get 200 units They need the blood for the blood bank This world is a better place because of people that really care about the youth Among the many people concerned for the welfare of the youth is Donny and Dona Price They have spent many hours in 4-H classes for the 10 years olds Have you been hit by the phantom yet? Beware! You may be next! Mary Black just returned home after welcoming her new grandson in Greenville, N.C. Erric Therron Roundy is the son of Therron and Kay Lynn Roundy. He had two sisters waiting for him at home. Guests at the home of Merle Stowell besides daughter. Roberta Fowler and five children who has been with her mother for three weeks is her other daughter, Jeanette Stowell, Por tland and friend Janet Salisburg, Washington D C. and Karen Wilson, Oregon. Sandy and Lula Davis and Velta Miller have been on a trip to Canada with the Robert L. Davis family of Pleasant Grove. Velta stayed in Pleasant Grove and attended a family reunion held at Flaming Gorge where they enjoyed Ashing and going down the Green River on a raft. Thirty-two of her family attended. Mrs. Reta Summit of Spring Vallev. Calif. visited with her sister, Velta Miller, brother Vernon Reid in Panguitch and the Omer Reida in Springville. The family of Mr and Mrs J Earl Allen held their family reunion at Konroy Henrie Ranch August 12 All of their children were present and part of their grand children Their children included, Sam Allen, Cleo Henrie, both Panguitch; Clem, Provo; Rona Iee, Las Vegas; George, Helena. Mont.; and Whorton, Iogan Former resident of Panguitch Mrs. LeVina Allen Brooks died August 13. Family reunion was held at the home of Elfa Tebbs and was attended by son. Dr William J. Tebbs family, Los Angeles, Calif.; daughter. Myrtle T. Prince family, Provo; Arthur Tebbs and Dr Sterling Tebbs family all from Panguitch. Sixty family members were present. They held a family picnic at the city park in the afternoon and a barbeque dinner at the home of Elfa Tebbs in the evening. The Emery H. Tait reunion was held at Mammoth Creek with 106 in attendance Visiting al the Van and Marvin Neilsons were Ray and Rhoana Workman and Jon and Bonnie Tait with their daughter. Jon and Mary Ann stayed an extra day then went to the House Rock Buffalo Ranch in Arizona where they will visit a few days with Ray and Rhoana. Clark and Lula DeLong, Moab visited in Panguitch with Mary Reid and visited friends and relatives. They attended funeral services in Tropic for Minerva Dutton. Earl Marshall returned from Provo where he attended the missionary farewell of his grandson, Rick Egan. Now visiting him and staying at the Panguitch Lake cabin is his son, Joe and wife. Colleen and two grandchildren, Orem and Dr. and Mrs. Donald R. Marshall, Provo. La Rue and Reid Jensen, santiquin and LaVerl and Dorothy Davis, Panguitch visited through Idaho, Oregon. Washington, North California, Nevada and Utah for two weeks. |
