Coach Greg Allen. Bryce Community School Offers Horticulture Class TROPIC A new class will be offered In the Bryce Valley Community School on woody horticulture, vegetables and lawns on February J. All classes will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. The first class will emphasize woody horticulture and ornamental plant culture. It will cover such subjects as species and variety selection; fertilizer and water management; insect control; pruning; fruit harvesting and storage. The second class on Feb. S will explain plant propagation and will cover such subjects as seeds, bulbs, tubers, and rhizomes; cuttings and slips; layering grafting buds and scions. Lawns will be discussed Feb. 10, the variety selection and site development will be discussed along with renovating old lawns; water and fertilizer management; Insect and disease control and weed control. Feb. 12, the subject will be vegetable crop culture. It will cover the variety seteetien and seed source; fertiliter management and preparation; water management; weed control; insect control and harvest and storage.
