Show Obituaries Glcave Colctnnn ESCALANTE Ellis Cleave Coleman, 52, Escalante and formerly of Teasdale, died Jan. 22, 1977 in a Salt Lake City Hospital. He was bom June 30, 1924, Salina, to Charles Ellis and Ruth Allen Coleman. He married Nadine Mitchell, Nov. 30, 1945, Salinas, Calif.; later solemnized in the Oakland LDS Temple; divorced. He married 1 Margean Cowles Stowe, Aug. 28, 1976, Escalante. He was a veteran of World War II and active in the LDS Church where he was a member of the Escalante Stake High Priest Quorum. Survivors: wife, Escalante; son, daughter, Mrs, Merle (Ellen) Daniels, Llvermore, Calif.; Gary Coleman, Salinas, Calif.; step-sons, Ronald Stowe, Salt Lake City; Stanley Stowe. Rock Springs, Wyo.; Layne 1 Stowe, Rlverton. Wyo.; seven grandchildren; brother, sislers. Mrs, Marion (Claon) Adams. ' 1 V Ml Cleave Coleman Funeral services were Wednesday in the Escalante Ward chapel with Bishop Sharon Dale Marsh, officiating. Marion Adams offered the family prayer and Ora Morretl played prelude and postlude music John Newby gave the invocation. Speakers were Thaine Taylor, Randal Lyman, Alfonzo Turner and Bishop Marsh. Music included selection by Delane. Quinn and Gene Griffin; selection by Reed Lindsay and Company and selection by the Escalante Singing Mothers. Newell Cowles gave the benediction. Burial was in the Escalante Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary Richfield. Military rites were conducted by the Escalante American Legion Post. Pallbearers were Stanley Stowe, Arlen Brown, Layne Stowe, Orvil Cowles, Alvin Cowles and Don Coleman. |
