Show Panguitch Patter Janet Olsen (76-8082 Marlene and Garald Lewis and two daughters, Hendersen, Nev. spent Easter vacation with Marlene's mother, Lyle Miller and brother and family the Melvin Millers. They also spent some time with Garald's family in Circleville and Junction. Mr. and Mrs. Phil Farn-sworth and three daughters, Richmond, Washington visited the LeGrande Farnsworths and the Carl Farnsworth family. While here the older girls attended the IDS Youth Conference at Escalante. Mrs. Jessie Cherrington is visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Evans in Las Vegas, Nev. Visiting at the Houston Hatch home last week were Mr. and Mrs. George Nowland and baby from California; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Crabb and children Cory and Jennifer, American Fork; Mr. and Mrs. Jay Paris, Canoga Park, Calif. Elaine and Evelyn Hatch, Las Vegas visited their parents Bill and Hazel Hatch. Bessie Talbot Sanders, daughter and niece, Salt Lake City are here visiting Mattie Kocherhans who is in the hospital. Bessie Talbot is in the Dixie Memorial Hospital in St. George for some hip operations. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Dickinson and family, Richfield; Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Davis and boys, Aurora; Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Olsen and boys and Vera Olsen and Jim Davis spent the Easter weekend camping at Kodachrome Basin. Mr. and Mrs. Remo Johnson spent Sunday in Joseph visiting relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sevy; Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Smith and girls; Mr. and Mrs. Barry Davenport and family went to St. George to spend some time with Fanella Sevy for Easter. Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Bailey, Cedar City spent the weekend with the Jay Crosbys. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. James L. Hatch last weekend were Edith Merchant and two daughters, Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Art Crosby and children Steve, Sherrie, Charlene spent last weekend in Phoenix. Twenty-five youth went to Escalante from the Panguitch Stake to attend the MIA Youth Conference last weekend. The theme was "To thine own self be true for ye are the light of the world." Mr. and Mrs. John Wallace Yardley and girls are touring California for a week. They are also visiting Mr. and Mrs. Joe Riggs and family. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Foy spent ten days in New Mexico and Arizona. Jim and Alta Yardley spent Saturday and Sunday at Lake Powell fishing. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Proctor and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Proctor spent last weekend camping at Burr Trail. Kathy Riggs and two roommates visited the Jay Riggs home. Clark and Gwen Frandsen and family left Sunday to move Barbara Duckett and children to. Virginia where Jim Duckett Jr. is stationed. Mr. and Mrs. Randy Hatch had a birthday party in Hatch last Sunday for their son Brandin Hatch. Visiting Mrs. Bell Cooper last week was her daughter Jean, Idaho. Daughters Annette and Leniece Foreman and Kathy and family visited Mr. and Mrs. Kay Heywood. Mamie Hjorth, Springvillc talked last Tuesday night at MIA and Wednesday night at night Relief Society. She also gave a one woman show on Emma Hail Smith. Last Tuesday night the Homemakers Club held their meeting at the home of Louise Holman. Hostess was Ramona Proctor. Louise Englestead, Fay Lynn, Jacketta Goodin, Maxine Crosby went to Richfield last Monday to visit the Genealogical Library. Mr. and Mrs. George Greenhalgh and family, Salt Lake City visited the Paul Julanders last weekend. Mary Ann Rose, and daughter Andee, Cedar City visited the Carl Hatch family last week. John Julander was ordained a deacon last Sunday in the South Ward LDS Church. John is the son of Mr. and Mrs. MacKay Julander. Many people attended the St. George LDS Temple sessions and meetings Wednesday through Sunday in honor of the 100th Anniversary. Those being baptized and confirmed a member of the LDS church last week were Kena Mclnelly and Natalie Liston. Babies receiving a name and blessing were Stony Rick Burningham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Burningham and Emily Ann Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Miller. Sabrina Munford and Dene Kay attended the Mills family reunion in Richfield Saturday. |
