Show Bryce Canyon Land Tract Change Aired The Cedar City district of the Bureau of Land Management is Inviting comments concerning resource values and potential impacts associated with the revocation of a withdrawal and possible subsequent exchange of a tract of public land for private land within Dixie National Forest. The land proposed for disposal, a 66-a ere tract located half a mile southwest of the Bryce Canyon Airport, has been used in the past as an administrative site by Dixie National Forest. The property was originally withdrawn from public land for development by the Federal Aviation Administration of a residential complex for employees at the .Bryce Canyon Airport Flight Service Station. Recently, an opportunity was presented to exchange the site, including the homes, garages, outbuildings and other improvements, for private lands within the Dixie National Forest. This offer to exchange is desirable for Forest resource management. However before an exchange can be made the original withdrawal must be revoked.' Undef the proposed exchange, the Dixie National Forest would acquire 100 acres part of a total acquisition of an isolated 386-acre tract of private land within the Forest boundary |
