Show Hatch Happenings Reva Lowder San Kiggs and "Kent Sawyer went to Salt Lake City during the week with Jack Soper and other FFA boys to attend meetings there. Wynn and Ricky Turek, Washington, came this way en route to General Conference in Salt Lake City and took Ed Turek with them to see his doctor and also attend conference. Then Ricky and Wynn visited the Tureks on the way home. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Dalton went to St. George to visit Mrs. Dee Roundy'thcn on to Kanab where they were overnight visitors with the Gib Clarks. Visiting the Daltons overnight were Mr. and Mrs. Duke Dalton, Monroe. Others during the week were Mrs. Shannon Clark and children, Kanab, Pamela, Brandt and Lance Stubbs, Parowan and Dale Rogers, Arizona he was enroute to Dallas, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. LaVor Deuel and Jerrett, Calif, were visitors with his mother, Mrs. Idonna Deuel and family. The Homer Duttons visited two day s last week in St. George with relatives. Thursday Marcie Dutton, St. George and the Jay Duttons, Kanab. the G.D. Wilsons, Richfield were in town on business. The Deloy Evans family, Las Vegas vbited the Lynn Evans then went to Salina to visit her folks a few days. Mr. and Mrs. David Sawyer went to Cedar City on business, their grandson Jeffrey Sawyer came home with them to visit a few days. Saturday the Sawyers and Jeffrey went to Cedar City. Weekend visitors with them were the Kerry Sawyers, Las Vegas; Barbara Williams and daughter and Kurt Sawyer, Cedar City. Duard Riggs and children, Granger visited during the weekend at the Or las Riggs home. Visiting Rhea and Sandee Stirkorb are Mr. and Mrs. Lindy Bodtcher, Monroe. Doris Barney, American Fork visited her folks the Layton Barneys. The Lynn Savages, Antimony visited the Nile Sawyers and left Rodney here to visit until Sunday when the Sawyers took him to Antimony where they all enjoyed a birthday dinner in honor of Lynn. Speakers in sacrament meeting were Janett, Dorothy and LaMar Barney. Visitors at the Wiley Hun-tingtons were the Stan Hun-tingtons, Cedar City, Lowell and Allen Huntington and four children, Kanab. LaRee and Lorl Burrows, Fredonia visited Velma Huntington, Monday. Former towns woman, Julia Merrill Dutton Woodbury, 90 died March 29, 1977 at her home in Hurricane. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Clark, Sessie Clark and Wallace Clark stopped at the Lynn Evans home and Norcen Evans accompanied them to the funeral in Hurricane. Others attending the funeral from here were Maggie Barnhurst, Shirley Wilhelm, Effel Riggs and Velma Huntington. Burial for Mrs. Woodbury was in the Hatch Cemetery. Ed Turek attended funeral services in Cedar City for a friend Heber Holyoak, he worked with at the parks. The Bruce Daltons left Saturday to visit the John Baileys in Milford. Monday they attended her uncle Morris Blackner's funeral in Beaver. |
