Show Panguitch Chamber Outlines Topics For Three Programs An outline of the three next meetings was discussed at a Chamber of Commerce meeting In Panguitch. Today will be the next meeting at 8:00 pm. at the Flying M Restaurant. Bill Duckett executive secretary for the Color Country Advertising Committee will present the activities for the past year by the Color Country. He will explain the advertising completed by the committee and future plans, he will also help Panguitch-Hatch Chamber of Commerce plan for their advertising. Neil Duncan with the Garfield County Advertising Committee will also be at the meeting to tell what Garfield County is doing as far as advertising. April 14, Sheriff Keith Fackrell will give a presentation on shoplifting. All business owners and employees are Invited to attend the meeting. Fackrell will point out things to watch for besides show a couple of films pertaining to the matter. April 21 either or both Norm Fuellenbach and Mark Fuellenbach owners of Garfield County News will show the Chamber of Commerce Supplement before the final printing Is made and meet the business men of the area. Jack Vorls of the Forest Service asked for the chamber to buy the meat for the boy scouts when they clean the Panguitch Lake area this year. Last year the boys with men, trucks and plastic bags from the Forest Service cleaned a section of the Panguitch Lake road followed by a banquet which was paid for by the Panguitch-Hatch Chamber of Commerce. The chamber has agreed to pay this money. Arrangements are being made to talk to a Department of Transportation representative from Richfield to discuss the placing of signs along the various highways adverts ing Panguitch. Also arrangements are being made to talk to radio media concerning radio spots. Jerrie Fackrell showed the chamber various tour brochures which the City of Vernal has prepared in addition to piacemats. Also placemata the Panguitch Chamber of Commerce supplied the businesses a few years ago were shown. Favorable comments were heard on the brochures and this will be pursued. |
