Show 1 AREA OBITUARIES Evn D. Marshall Eva Mlralda Marshall, 81, Panguitch, died April 2, 1977, in a Panguitch hospital of natural causes. She was born May 3, 1895, Panguitch, to James Thomas and Ellen Riding Daly. She was married to W. (WUford) Earl Marshall, March 14, 1917. Panguitch; solemanized In the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was educated In Garfield County schools and was a talented musician and active In dramatic circles. She participated In all the LDS auxiliaries. With her husband, she owned and operated Panguitch Drug Co. until it was purchased by their son. Survivors: husband; sons, Thomas Earl, Salt Lake City; Monte D., Mrs. Earl (Evalyn) Roe, both Panguitch; Dr. Donald R., Mrs. J. Benson (Mildred) Egan, both Provo; Joseph Robert, Mrs. Jay (Barbara) Willes, both Orem; 31 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchidlren; brothers, George, Salt Lake City; Frank, Panguitch. Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Panguitch South ward chapel with Bishop Frank II. Henrie, officiating. Thomas E. Marshall offered the family prayer and Hope Truman and Irene McEwen played prelude music. Donald R. Marshall gave the invocation. Speakers were Iletta Reid, Vernon L. Holman and Bishop Henrie. Music Included selections by the choir; vocal duet by Barbara Roe and Marilyn Marshall and violin duet by Barbara Heaton and Barbara Orton. Monte Marshall gave the benediction. Burial was in the Panguitch City Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield, where Frank R. Daly offered the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were Thomas E. Marshall, Joseph R. Marshall, J. Benson Egan, Monte D. Marshall, Donald R. Marshall and W. Earl Roe. Parley Ipson Parley Ipson Parley Ipson, 88, Pleasant Grove and longtime Panguitch resident, died April 4, 1977, in a Provo hospital of causes Incident to age. He was born June 28, 1888, Panguitch, to Niels Peter and Ingra Kerstine Madsen Ipson. His parents were both converts to the. LDS Church from Denmark and his father was a handcart pioneer in 1856 and his mother arrived in Utah a few years later in a covered wagon. He married Sarah Ann Church, Sept. 16, 1914, Manti, LDS Temple. She died June 26, 1972. He had been cashier of the Panguitch State Bank; school principal and teacher and administrator of Panguitch Hospital. He served as mayor of Panguitch and president and member of the Garfield County School Board. He served In the Utah Legislature. For the past five years he resided in Pleasant Grove with a daughter. Survivors: Parley K., Mrs. Ernest (Rhea) Blessing, both Salt Lake City; Mrs. Kenneth L. (Ruth) Cannon, Provo; Mrs. James L. (Verda) Lorimer, Jr., Casper, Wyo.; L. Roy, Bountiful; Hyrum B., Monroe; Mrs. Rex J. (Lena) Wilson, Pleasant Grove; 31 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Panguitch South Ward chapel where friends may call two hours prior. Burial will be in the Panguitch City Cemetery directed by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield. |
