Show ;,;, Cannon ville Betty Henderson 67S-85I2 The rain was wonderful for everyone and we are grateful to get It Darrell and Darnell Ross of St. George are the proud parents, of BeUy Ross. Their new baby girl. The baby's grandparents are Don and Dixie Munson and great-grandparents are Daisy and Irving Johnson and the Si Munsons of Tropic. The Don Mangum family got together for a reunion and to celebrate Don's birthday. From out-of-town were Mr. and Mrs. John Mathews and sons of Page, Melvtn Mangum, Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Mathews, Indiana en route to Hawaii where he will be helping to remodel the temple; Mr. and Mrs. Lynn (Judy) Smith home from Germany en route to their new station in Maryland. Ethel Clark celebrated her nintleth birthday on Saturday and five of her six sons were here to help her celebrate. Dewaln, Salt Lake City; Kay, Glen Canyon; Sheldon, Kenneth, Salt Lake City and Dyle were all at the family home where Ethel and Wilford have lived these many years. Merlin was here two weeks' ago to extend his wishes and visit his parents. Melvin Henderson went to Twin Falls, Ida. to visit his children and especially his daughter, VicklTulley. She will be Joining her husband in Germany in a few days. Fern Henderson and her son, Otha and his family of Cleveland went to Antimony to visit Verlean Cleaves. They were Joined there by Lorna and atf-? S -sV LaJune Willis Harold Peterson ol Logandale, Nev. Desmond Twitch ell took a tumble the other day and broke some ribs. He has been feeling miserable. Jeff Stock Is stationed at Fort Bliss, Tex. and would like to hear from his friends so he sent along his address: Pvt. William Stock 528-88-4123, DIBCTBde 3 Platoon, Fort Bliss, Texas 79916. John and Charlotte Mathews visited Joe and Rae Hughes while they were here for the Mangum reunion. Joe and Rae attended sacrament meeting in Henrieville to attend a testimonial for LaJune Willis. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Henderson, Big Bear Lake, Calif, are here visiting their mother, Alta Henderson and sister, Gretna Twitchell and family. Mae Twitchell went to Richfield on business this week. The family went to the Utah State Fair this weekend. Gretha Twitchell and her counselors were released after many years of serving in the Relief Society presidency. Betty Henderson was set apart as the new Relief Society president with Melda Davis and Beatrice Dutton as her con selors. Laurie Holley went to Provo to attend the blessing of her first grandchild. The baby was given the name of a Michael Bradley. His parents are Karmen and Bradley Smith. Laurie Holley to in Salt Lake City on business this week. Rada Barton Is still here helping to care for grandmother Thompson. Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Barton, Orem, Julia and Leo Hall, Cedar City have been here this weekend. Dave Evans has been ill and in the hospital at Cedar City. He Is home again and feeling good. Food For Thought: Knowledge If stored away and not put to use may corrode In time. |
