Show Panguitch Patter Janet OUen 47MOU Mrs. LeVenda Moore, Cynthia and Kristine Moore returned home from a trip to Hawaii. They toured the Island of Oahu. They also visited the Hawaiian LDS Temple and the Polynesian Cultural Center. Mr. and Mrs. Norman McKee and family went to Salt Lake City to see the Ice Follies and go to the Utah State Fair. Mrs. Alta Orton went to Kanab to see her son, Wally Orton and family. It was Wally's birthday. Debbie Johnson and Calvin Robinson were In Salt Lake City to attend the municipal league convention as guests of Clr-cleviUe. They went to the Ice Follies and also the Utah State Fair. Mr. and Mrs. Remo Johnson, Janet Olsen and boys went to Joseph for a family dinner. There were 16 attending. Mr. and Mrs. Jon Torgersen are the proud parents of a baby girl. Guests at the Roy Talbots were Mr. and Mrs. Hal Wilcock and son, Jimmy. Barry Davenport and John Burdick went to Salt Lake City to see Robert Davenport who is doing very well after surgery. Winona Sevy was a patient at Garfield Memorial Hospital for surgery on her leg. Ester Barney was also in the hospital for the same surgery. Ruby Roe, Earl and Evelyn, Beverly and Deanna Roe went to Escalante to an LDS missionary farewell for Gary Griffin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Griffin. Some of the families attending the Utah State Fair and Ice Follies from town were the Norman McKees, the Kenny Millers, the Keith Fackrells, Mary Jean Yazzie. The Jerry Prices and the Jim Coopers attended the Utah State Fair. Jerry Price's children, Bobby Jo and Jim Cooper participated in the State Farm Bureau Talent contest. Kay Freshwater attended a three day convention at Jackson, Wyo. He spent three more days touring the area. This was the first commercial airline flight he had taken. Mrs. LaRae Williams is taking her daughter, Cheryl Roundy, to Salt Lake City where she will reign over the Utah State Fair for two days. While there, Cheryl will stay at the Hilton Hotel. June 1876, Cheryl will represent Garfield County in the Miss Utah Pageant. The North Ward Choir members held a party at the race track with 29 attending the event They held a program, served refreshments and presented Dorothy McEwen with a record album and Mammle Talbot a book. Those attending the Municipal League in Salt Lake City from Panguitch over the weekend were Mayor and Mrs. Wallace G. Lee, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Crosby, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Proctor, Mr. and Mrs. Norman L. Davis, Mr. and Mrs. David L. Mower, Mr. and Mrs. James F. Hatch and Mr. and Mrs. J. Frank Houston. Dr. and Mrs. Sims Dugglns are home for a couple of weeks. They are planning to spend the winter in Las Vegas. Robert and Shirley Jean Gambold, California have been in town the past week visiting their daughter, Sherrle Cole and their twin grandsons. Mr. Gambold is the assistant coach of the Denver Bronco's football team. |
