Ed Turek, Howard Prince, Layton Barney and Wiley Huntington attended three sessions in the Provo Temple Thursday. The Ed Turcks received word of a new grandson born in Cedar City to Brent and Lynn Turek. Monday Ed and Julia Turek went to Cedar City to visit the new baby. Leland and William Riggs went to Richfield Saturday on business. They met Effel Riggs there after she had been visiting in Gunnison at the Forrest Hills and in Nephi at the Jay Mickelsons. She accompanied them back home. Allen and Sam Riggs and Pete Sawyer have been attending a scout merit badge round-up at Dixie College for the last three Saturdays. Thur Nicole Sawyer, Bonnie and Michelle Riggs, Janell and Doris Barney attended the round robin in St George. They were overnight guests with Janice Riggs in Cedar City. Sam Aiken of SUSC visited the Orlin Frehners. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Shakespear of Tropic visited the David Sawyers. Idonna Deuel and family went to Mt. Pleasant over the weekend to help Hulda Spencer celebrate her birthday Sunday with a family dinner. Gale and Dayne Wilcock of Fountain Green and Gal and Ralph Wilcock of Panguitch visited Saturday with friends and relatives. Mr. and Mis. Bob Henderson visited the Norman Hendersons in Kanab. The Gary Evans of Las Vegas visited recently with the Sam Evans. Sunday Sam and Lucille went to St. George, Ivens and Springdale and visited ler parents, the Kay G if fords. Hope, Bonnie and Kimberly Dalton visited the Gib Clarks in Kanab. Mr. and Mrs. Deloy Bounds and friend of Monroe were in town on business and visiting friends. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Kabonic of Kanab visited with the Wiley Huntingtons. Sunday visitors were Stanley Huntiongton and family of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Nile Sawyer went to Antimony and picked up Georgia and Rodney Savage and Patsy Cleave en route to the Salt Lake Airport to meet their son, Ricky who is home on leave from the navy. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Davis, Sandy and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Wooley, Orem. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Heap visited their children in Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Wilson visited recently in Page, Ariz, with the Wilford Lanes. Mrs. Dick Perry and children went to Las Vegas over the weekend. Al Wilhems, Maggie Barn-hurst, the LaVal Sawyers; and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Sawyer met Allen Humpheries from Hurricane, Emma Ray Humpheries, Cedar City and Vay Sawyers of Kanab Sunday afternoon at the sand dunes by Kanab. Reva and Karl Lowder went to Arizona over the weekend to visit Max Burrows family. On their return trip they enjoyed a steak dinner with Vay Sawyers in Kanab. Dorothy Barney was released as health leader in relief society and Mareen Hayes was sustained to take her place. Dorothy Barney was sustained as nursery class leader and Wanda Frehner was released as Sunday school teacher Mr. and Mrs. Earl Riggs of Clearfield spent the weekend with Mr and Mrs. Orlas Riggs and helped his mother celebrate her birthday Mrs. Bob Henderson attended funeral services in Spring City for her uncle, Lee Allred.
