Show Henrieville News Items MELBA D. SMITH Allene Riddle has a new granddaughter born to Ronel-da and Raymond Brinkerhoff at the Panguitch hospital on April 3rd. There is a sister at home to welcome the new baby. On Thursday Thelma, Boyd Vee and Leah Ann Smith visited at Escalante with the Ho-de Alveys. Lyllian Shakespear. Teora Willis and Louise Mangum went to Salt Lake last week for Primary conference. Larry Rose, son of the Irving Roses, left the LDS mission home at Salt Lake March 30th for a two year mission to Ohio. Clifford and Colletto Mathews came to visit the Dave Roses and Don Mangums at Cannonvllle over Ihe weekend, Nedra and Herman Swapp of Silver City, New Mexico came to visit her mother Minnie Smith and brother Tom. Rhoda and Ora Shafer visited at Cedar City Saturday and Sunday with daughter Jerry and Dave Millett and family. Visiting relatives and friends here were Oscar and Jean Willis and daughter LaJune of Grand Canyon, their children Rick and Suzanne from BYU. Thora Partner reported she had a wonderful visit with her daughter Louise and getting acquainted with her darling new granddaughter Lisa Harrison. She also visited daughter Joyce and Lee Sorenson and beautiful little granddaughter Sheila Sorenson. Thora reports that Joyce and Lee are buying a new home in Long Beach. Her daughter Carol and Bill Holmes and children Elizabeth and Mike came from Santa Barbara on Thursday to visit her mother. Bill returned to his job on the police force and for school. Carol accompanied the Joel Harrisons to the Los Angeles bus depot where Thora took a bus to Parowan, where she met her husband (continued inside) Henrioville (continued from front page l Harry and daughter Marilyn. They all spent the night with daughter Evelyn and Grayson Parry and grandson Brandon Heath, waiting for Thora's suit cases that arrived late. Thoso celebrating birthdays this week are Jimmie and Ben Lee Smith and Iris Bushnell. Crystal Mangum spent a few days with her grandparents, the Elmo Bushnells, while her mother Keela was at Salt Lake. She reports her sister Koye Mecham is feeling real good from her illness, and expects to be home In another week. |
