Show HUNTER DIES IN CAMP NEAR PANGUITCH An apparent victim of suffocation according to Garfield County Sheriff Keith Fackrell, Newton Myers, 38, of Granada, California, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Pangultch Hospital shortly after 7 a. m. Sunday, October 31. A companion Ben Donalson, 37, of North Ridge. California, was treated at the hospital and later released. The men were part of a party of nine deer hunters who had been hunting the Pangultch Lake and other areas south of Pangultch. They were staying overnight at a campground Just south of Pangultch with a hablchi-type charcoal burner for heat. Other members of the partv discovered both men unconscious when thev tried to call them to start the day's hunt. |
