Show Menrieville News Items MELBA D. SMITH John and Amy Clarke's son Sam of Hawthorne, Nevada, who U attending SUSC at Cedar City, spent two nights at Virginia Smith's home and visited other relatives. Also visiting Virginia was her grandson John Palmer who was recuperating from an operation. Janet Evans and Virginia Smith went to Cedar City last Tuesday and brought Janet daughter Joyce Warby and new baby son David Hyrum and daughter Jeanette to spend a few days here. Clint came and took his family home Saturday. Michael stayed with his grandparents, Nephi and Shan-na Goulding, this past week. Rob and Sally Goulding came on Saturday to visit and have their son blessed in church on Sunday; he was blessed by his great grandfather June Nelson and given the name Dace Robert Goulding. Others present for church and at the Goulding home were June and Betty Nelson of Cannonville, Gerald and Marva Allen grandparents, and Cody and Marvalee Allen from Kingston; Herb and Ladora Baugh and two children from Tropic. Jane also came for the weekend. Lael and Brett Chynoweth will go into Salt Lake City on Tuesday with Nephi and Shan-na Goulding. Nephi will go to the Veterans hospital for a checkup and Brett will see the orthodontist Verland and Lonna Rose of Tooele were down for the deer hunt and also visited their parents, the Dave Roses. Dale and Linda Larson from Sandy had their baby son blessed Sunday by his grandfather Kay Willis and given the name of Cory Lynn Larson. The Larsons have been visiting with Kay and Maggie Willis and family, they returned home on Sunday. Some attended Stake Priesthood Leadership Relief Society and Primary meetings in Escal-ante Sunday afternoon. Those celebrating birthdays this week are Gaylen Rose, Kay Clark, Royce Griffin and Paula Chynoweth. Donna and Duane Metcalf came to pick up their daughters Melisa and Mistle who have been staying with their grandparents, the Ora Shafers while the mother and father were on vacation. |
