SMITH It was a very happy reunion the evening of July 29th spent in the back yard at the Bush-nell home, when 17 cousins and aunts met and talked old times and caught up on the latest. Those that were there were Aunt Virginia Smith, Aunt Minnie Smith, Allene Riddle, Berthene Griffin, Ruby Moore, Iris and Kim Mitt Bushnell of Henrieville; Maud Reynolds of Richfield; Nellie Bailey and two daughters, Carrie Griffin of Escalante, Connie Jepsen of Calif.; Bloom Or-mond of Boulder; Uetta Rob-bins and Beth Baxter of Orem; Ada Thompson, Melda Davis of Cannon vllle; and Flora Lei-benguth of Escalante. Those celebrating birthdays this week are Paula S. Richards, Kim Bushnell, Bradley Griffin, Christine Shakespear, and David Barker. The anniversary of Ora and Rhoda Sha-fer. JoAnn Smith is home after spending three weeks at Washington with the Rett Shakes-pear family. Kenny Shakes-pear Is here spending a week with the Layton Smiths, and E. R. Shakespears at Tropic. Glen and Birdie Johanson of Pleasant Grove and Ben Riddle of Ordervllle recently visited with Allene Riddle and Deloy Dutton families. Virginia Smith. Allene Riddle, Lee Ida Dunham and Violet Rae Hughes attended funeral services for Isabelle Allen In Cedar City last Monday. Teora Willis brought her sister Ruth Gates of Silver City, New Mexico to visit with Minnie Smith. She h a neighbor to Minnie's daughter Nedra Swapp. Ora Shafer was admitted to the Panguitch hospital where he is improving now. Shanna Goulding spent the weekend home from school at BYU in Provo. She brought Beth Partner with her to visit her parents, the Herschel Partners. Jane Goulding and Michael have returned to Cedar City after visiting Nephi and Wayne here. She will take Michael to Salt Lake next week to a specialist. Lovisa Johnson is ill. Her daughters Nina Johnson and Merintha Johnson came to be ' with her. They brought Gladys Johnson with them to visit her parents, Dave and Eda Qu liter and with Grandma Johnson. Bryan Johnson came from Washington to see his mother. The Norman Johnson family came from Cedar City to visit. Recent visitors with Teora and Dewey Willis was her sister Ruth Gates of Silver City, N. M. and sister Callie Clark of Missouri who was on her way to join her husband in Saigon for two years, he is a professor there. Also brother John and Glenna Newby and LaRene McCaord and family. Teora visited in Monroe with her mother Kettle Newby. Boyd and Opal Alvey and son of Salt Lake visited the Lee -Smith family on Saturday. Thursday, Lael, Cal, Link Chynoweth and Thelma and Ben Smith went to Cedar City where Ben and Cal went to a State Public Health Clinic. On Friday Lael, Cal and Brett Chynoweth went to Richfield where Cal saw his orthodontist and got his head gear. Thora and Mada Partner and Lula Moore attended funeral services July 27th In St. George for Thora and Mada's nephew, 18 month old Daniel Hop-ins. On their way home they visited in Paragonah with the I Cyril Partners. Delia Is feeling j better after spending some time in the hospital. Thora Partner went to Panguitch Thursday night and picked Harry Partner up off the bus. He was released to come home from the Veterans Hospital at Salt Lake City. Harry and Thora received word that Officer William and Carol Holmes had sold their home In Santa Barbara and moved to Goleta, Calif. Visiting at the Jim Smiths was his sister Dorothy, her husband Darwin Tyler and his son Wes from Council, Idaho. David and Kathryn Pollock and sons of Cedar City visited the Kenneth Gouldings last weekend. Shawn celebrated his first birthday July 25th. Ken, Elsie and Dick Goulding visited in Cedar City on Monday and attended services for Isabelle Allen. Dorsle Henderson returned home Sunday evening. July 25. She was hospitalized Tuesdav with spinal meningitis. She is feeling better but will have to be hospitalized about 2 weeks and would like to hear from her friends here.
