Show Escalante Chit Chat BY FAY ALVEY We have had more of the same weather, wind, dust and heat, it tried to storm but last ed only a few minutes, Champ and Alton Church were here from Panguitch and he took credit for bringing the shower but guess he did not stay long enough. The sick are all either better or pretending to be; Dale Wilson flew Marjle Spencer to the Page hospital for examination and tests, and she is back home. Quite a number of people have either had bad colds or allergies, they deal out about the same miseries. Sariah Alvey had a weak spell after the celebration, my diagnosis was heat exhaustion but she wanted a professional opinion so went to Panguitch without an appointment to surprise Dr. Duggins, but he surprised her by not being in town. Dot Coombs came from Boulder to drive her over, they let me go along to tend the kids but will probably lose my job as the 3 year old got lost, wandered off into the residential district and some nice lady brought him back up town which we really appreciated. Chatted briefly with two Democrats, Frank Daly and Bob Mlddleton, Frank had just returned from a foreign tour and was all tired out, that Is all except his hugging arm which Mother Alvey said was strong as ever. We found Leonard Wil-cock in the hospital with fancy stitching on his head, Dr. Lusty probably got all A's In sewing. Leonard rolled a truck over and was blaming it onto water. We went on to Little's Ranch and found them about the same. Kay was picking gooseberries with a water snake looking on. Speaking of snakes if there had of been any way to keep tab John Norman would have probably broken all records in the broad jump; he was in a horse pasture and reached to pick up a bottle, which by the way was empty, when a rattle snake struck at him, he jumped backwards with' surprising speed and 'distance.
