Show Dr. Harvey D. Moore Accepts Post At World-Renowned Purdue University Dr. Harvey D. Moore has accepted an important administrative and teaching post at Purdue University In Indiana. He and his wife Margene, moved to Indiana In January. Dr. Moore Is a native of Southern Utah and has served Utah schools In various capacities for 23 years as a teacher, coach, supervisor and high school principal. He served as Curriculum Director of special education services for 19 districts in the state of Iowa. He received his bachelor's degree and a master's degree In Education Administration and Psychology from Utah State University. He Is past president of the Utah Adult Education Association, a Tribune fellow and served on the Utah Social Science Committee. Dr. Moor received his PhD. from the University of Utah. The title of his doctoral dissertation was: "An Analysis of State and Federal Assistance to Adult Education in Carbon County from 1965 to 1969." During World War II, Dr. Moore received a field comml- , ssion In the Philippines in April 1945. He earned the bronze star, silver star, a presidential unit citation and received the purple heart. He Is married to Margene Moore, formerly of the College of Eastern Utah faculty. Their only son Randall is a graduate of Utah States University and at present is a lieutenant in the armed forces in Security Plans and Operations' assignment in Germany. For the past -two .years Dr. Moore has served as Administrative Director of M.D.T.A. for the University of Nevada System at Las Vegas, Nevada. |
