Dee and Palma Shakespear and Valerie Wintch from college; Carolyn and Wilma Hill. Mr. and Mrs. Danny Shakes- pear are parents of a baby girl born Nov. 9th in Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Shakespear are the proud grandparents and Maud Hall the great-grandmother, in Tropic. Scott Munson and fiancee were at the James Munson home Sunday. Palma and Vernal Shakes-pear, Margaret Mecham, Ada Sudweeks and Leona Stewart were released as Sunday school officers and teachers. Janet LeFevre aud Glenna Pollock were sustained as teachers Gl-ovonna Sudweeks as Jr. Sunday School secretary, Sharron Bybee as organist. Having birthdays this week were Ann, Palma and Barbara Shakespear, Helena and Eva-dean Francisco, Judy Adair. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Little-field and Mr. and Mrs Jay Lit- tlefield were In Las Vegas last week for the football game. Their son Lanny Is on the U . of So. Nevada team and played a big part in his team's defeating csu. Erna and George Hansen of Cedar City visited Maud Hall Evan Campbell visited his grandmother Sara Shakespear and the Alston and Roy Shake-spears last week. We are all saddened by the death of Ban Pollock, a former Tropic resident. His mother and brothers and sisters from here were in Salt Lake with his family when he died. Max Stewart and Kay Barton were the speakers at the Veteran's Day program presented by the high school. Cheryl Shakespear was the high school representative to the Student Senate at Salt I,ake Wednesday. The Charley Wintch's had a visit from their granddaughter Pam and husband and son prior to their leaving for Japan where Randy will be stationed with the Air Force. Mr and Mrs Bob Ott were in Richfield on business this week Mr! and Mrs. Ursel Ott attended funeral services for Le-ola's father in Payson Saturday. Viva Mecham Is visiting Amelia Losee in Provo. Pres. J. Clyde Spencer and Leland Haws were the speakers in Sacrament meeting Sunday. John Ruesch was ordained a deacon. The Paul Mangums visited In town Sunday. MIA officers and teachers attended s stake leadership meeting In Henrieville Sunday. Nancy Mecham and Paulette Wiseman were recent visitors at the David Mecham home. |
