Dorothy Lyman, Veda Behu-nln and Nina Moosman served a late Thanksgiving dinner to Dr. Joseph Smith, Dr. Stan Stardcll, Chuck Hugo and two assistants who flew Into Boulder. Others present were six survival students Each week a few light air crafts have successfully landed upon the air strip at Home Bench. The par ties are met by local people in automobiles. Heber and Neta Poulson, the Roger Welch's and Nina Moosman were weekend visitors In Salt Lake City. Leland and Golda Haws went to Cedar City. Ivan and Dorothy Lyman and daughter Mice, Em-eron Peterson, Anthony Coombs were In Richfield on business. Anthony and Dot Coombs and son Ward, Otto and Idona Haws were in Panguitch on business. Ann Munson of the Stake MIA was here Thursday on MIA business. Max Behunin and Lincoln Lyman have been working with the BLM on the project of railing and seeding range land in the Alton area. Gertrude Ormond was pleased when she received an invitation to the wedding reception of Earl Dixon Jr. and Clarice Konosh at the Indian Chapel In Richfield Dec. 5th Clarice, an Indian student, lived with Gertrude for three winters. Carter and Kay Ormond were here a few days, they traveled back to the Sandy Banch by way of Escalante, Kooshar-em and through Wayne Wonderland. Kirk Lyman was here for the Thanksgiving holiday. Several parents from here attended the parent teacher conference at Escalante High School on Thursday. LeFair Hall drove his tractor around the East End road to rescue a stranded motorist who attempted to drive into Boulder Monday after the storm. Ladell Alvey supervised the project while linemen moved the power line away from the new road being built into Boulder. All homes west of Heber Poulsons were without electricity four hours Wednesday and Thursday. Mac, Burke, and I visited with my mother, Maud Hall, and Norm and Clella Little-field and Judean Carter on Wednesday. Elaine Roundy, Renon Peterson and Vicky Coleman attended Stake Primary Leadership meeting in Escalante on Saturday. Nta Poulson and Idona Haws accompanied Emeron and Renon Peterson to St. George for the Temple mar riage of son Jimmy Peterson and Jolyn Griffin on Nov. 25. Several families from here attended the wedding reception in Escalante. The families who left Boulder for the Thanksgiving holidays were: the Farlan Behun-ins who were In Salem with Lorraine's parents, the Bern-ell Bakers. The LeFair Halls were in Salt Lake City with I-arcna's sister Alice Harding (continued Inside) Boulder (continued from front page) and familv. Son Terry flew from Salt Lake to visit his cousin Richard Harding In Santa Barbara. Calif. The Uvon Roundys and Anthony Coombs were at the Kay Coombs home in Venice. The Obe Wrights at the John Buckhouse home in Logan. The Emeron Petersons had Thanksgiving dinner with the Gail Baileys of Escalante. The families viho came back to Boulder for Thanksgiving were: the Don Web-sters of Cedar City at Anna Lee's parents home, the Vern Hansons; Paul Hansen also came home for the holiday. The Ivan Lymans had Dell and Gladys LeFevre, Marilyn, Arthur, and Mark at their home. The Max Behunlns had daughter Twila and her grandmother Laura Behunln. The Dean Tuckers of Mid-vale were at Beverly's parents home, the Leland Haws. The Bruce Wilsons of Salt Lake City were here and had dinner with Donna Jean's parents, the Lorln Moosmans. The Afton Lelbenguths of Escalante were at Sandra's parents home, the Truman Lymans; Kent came from Wayne County to be with them. Neil Henry was at his parents home, the Neil Jepsens. The Sherril Alveys were at Dorothy Jean's parents home, the Heber Poulsons. The Michael LeFevres were at his par- I ents home, the Mac LeFevres; I Wendy's nephew William Mo-Bride was with them. The Glover Smiths and the Barnsons of Escalante came to be with the Dan Coleman family for Thanksgiving Day. On Nov. 27th, Bishop Uvon Roundy performed the marriage ceremony for Dan J. Austin Jr. and Mrs. Heidi Ger-stung who were married in Boulder at the Austin residence. His father Dan V. Austin of Los Angeles, sister Ka thy from Mexico City, Mexico, the Bob Hacklers of Covina, Calif, arrived with a group of friends who came for the wedding. Mrs. Nina Moosman and son Sidney also attended. We welcome the storms of the past few days even though it hastened our company on their way home |
