Show LADY LIONS ELECT NEW OFFICERS The Panguitch Lady Lions held their regular monthly meeting May 11 at the Flying M Cafe, with Lioness President Joann Miller in charge. Hostesses were Lionesses Ne-dra and Beth Tebbs and Joann Miller. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was led by Lioness Beverly Crosby. Club Creed was read by Lioness Lyle Miller. The Club Song was sung by the group, led by Assistant Lion Tamer Evelyn Roe, accompanied by Lion Tamer Joan Weston. Lioness President Joan, with the help of Lionesses Faye Worthen and Mary Barney, presented, In rhyme, the candidates representing the Purple Party and Lionesses Joan Lee and Hazel Hatch presented, In rhyme, the candidates for the Gold Party. The following were elected as officers for the coming year: Erna Riggs, President; Beverly Crosby, 1st Vice President; Evelyn Roe, 2nd Vice President; Hazel Hatch, Secretary; Beth Tebbs, One Year Director: La Vein Lindsay, Two Year Director ; Joan Lee, Tall Twister; Joan Weston, Lion Tamer; Faye Worthen, Assistant Lion Tamer; Lenore Heat-on, Historian; Joann Miller, Board Member. A special program was enjoyed by Lady Lions and the guests. The program theme and decorations centered around the motion picture "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid," which was nominated for an Academy Award. Cassidy's sister, Lula Betenson presented a snort history of his life, and told about her trip to New York where she was a guest of the producer and stars of the show. Sharl-ene Dalton, Beryl and Nola Whittaker sang several tongs, accompanying themselves on their ukelelas. The hostesses presented each of the participants a Friendship Booklet to say "Thank You" for the outstanding entertainment. New officers will be installed at the June meeting. |
