Show Hatch Happenings REVA LOWDER A Urge number of local people attended a GarKane meeting In Orderville Thursday Tuesday evening a large group attended a Stake MIA Parent Youth program at Clr-clevllle, and one at Panguitch Wednesday Hal Wilcock left Tuesday for Ft. Douglas where he was Inducted Into the Army and la now at Ft. Lewis, Wash. The Norman Hendersons of Kanab spent Easter weekend with the Bob Hendersons and the Gale Wilcocks. Sunday In meeting their Infant daughter was blessed by her grandfather, Bob Henderson, and given the name Susan Marie. Robert Wilson and Kenneth Barney were passed on In meeting to be advanced In the Priesthood to a Priest. An Easter program was held in Sunday School. Sunday evening a fire side chat was held at the chapel, guest speaker was Don Heap of Escalante. The Jesse Wilsons had their five youngest children together during Easter for the first time in 8 years: Robert who is at home. Karl who returned from a mission, Carolyn and Hugh of BYU, Kent who is home on furlough before leaving for Okinawa. Kenneth Barnhurst of BYU waa home with his folks, the Eric Barnhursts. The Lloyd Wilsons, Glenna and Lorene of Calif, visited several days with the Jesse Wilsons They all went to vis-It Eunice Cope at Richfield, the Don Wilsons and Agnes Wilson In Annabella, the Russell Wilsons in Salina, and the Ferrill Lazenbys in Aurora. Last Monday the Orson Barnhursts went to Cedar to meet Shelly and Shauna Woodard of Las Vegas and went to attend funeral services for Ches Snow at Kingston. Thursday Mrs. Al Wilhelm and children came to spend Easter with them. The Bert Barnhursts of Cedar visited them Saturday. Friday visitors with the Boh Evans were the Don Munsons and Sherry Jolly of Keams. They took Kimberlee Evans with them to Cannonville, then Saturday Bob and Ardis met them there at her folks, the Irving Johnsons, also the Ed Laddells and Cecelia Keate of Salt Lake, and the Si Munsons of Tropic, and all went to He-ward Canyon for an outing. Sunday they all had dinner here at the Evans home and the Laddells, Sherry and Cecelia attended church here. The Ralph Riggs family of Calif, visited his folks, the Or-las Riggs during Easter. Mrs. Lamar Barney and family visited her folks in Springville and brought Lar-raine home from BYU for Easter vacation. Visiting the Lamar, Layton and Frank Barneys during Easter were the Gordon Barneys of Tooele, the Don L. Ip-sons of Kanab, the Vern Barneys of Richfield The Ferril Barneys of Las Vegas visited them earlier in the week. The Garth Heaps and the Grant Daltons visited in Cedar and Zion Saturday. The Ro nald Sawyers of Cedar and the Don Heaps of Escalante visited the Heaps Sunday. Grant and Dennis Dalton were home from their Jobs in Nevada for the Easter holidays. Wayne Stubbs stayed overnight at the Daltons and took Pamela back to Parowan with him. Steven Evans of New Castle and a friend visited Sunday at the Daltons. The Francis Simons of Idaho and the Stanley Wise family of West Point visited here then with Idonna. Rose Elaine and Val Dean Deuel attended open house in Ordervillle Saturday for Ben and Reta Blac-burn. The Delln Crofts of Vernal visited Friday night at the Lynn Evans home. Missed last week the program and dinner of the Relief Society held March 17th. The John Mechams of Tropic visited the Oliver Hunting-tons and Gale Wilcocks Thursday; the Pat Dix family of Pan-guitch visited Friday. The Huntingtons received word that their son-in-law Darol All-red has been sustained coun-celor in the Stake Presidency in Lubbock, Texas. Gail Duckctt visited Shirley Bulkley in the Page hospital Friday. Kerry Carpenter of Kanab visited the Ducketts for the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Riggs visited Sunday at the Karl Lutlfl- Sunday the John Sawyers of Cedar visited the Arthur Sawyers. Saturday the I.amond Davis family of Panpuitch accompanied the Gale Wilcocks to Kod-achrome Flats. The Wilcocks went on to Lake Powell and to Kanab to visit the Chuck Zel-inskis and Mrs. Gam Wilcock and her brother. The Wiley Huntingtons visited in Kanab Saturday with aVK the Allen Huntingtons. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Sam Evans and Vaughn of St. George and Greg Evans of Las Vegas visited here Greg stayed until Sunday and went back with Dennis Dalton. Mr. and Mrs. Ivor Riggs took their daughter Michele to the Cedar hospital Friday for a tonsil ectomy. Saturday the Roy Shakespcars of Tropic met the David and Nile Sawyers and went to the Sand Dunes for an outing. Charlotte Wilson of Dixie College visited her folks, the Calvin Wilsons. Mrs Arnold Sawyer came from the Cedar hospital last week then had to go back Monday with milk leg. We wish her well |
