Show Henrieville News Items MELBA D. SMITH A very successful ward supper was held at the chapel last Thursday night. Virginia Smith went to St. George Thursday to visit the Dar Smith family and to work in the Temple, she came home on Saturday. Birthdays this week are Olaf Shakcspear, Lula Moore, Tho-ra Partner, Darnell Dutton, and Vee Smith. Eugene Quilter drove the bus to Cedar City Saturday to take the High School Girls Drill Team to march in Homecoming Day activities. Dorothy Smith, Beth and Louise Partner and Joanne Rose went from here. Keith and Cora Johnson and family visited the Ellis Johnsons and Herschel Partners. Edith Barker had to go back to the Page hospital for more tests. Alta Rae Hansen. Bill and Terri McAllister spent the weekend here with relatives. A special program was presented in Sacrament meeting Sunday. It was the Family Home Evening and the Home Teachers. A film and recording was played and the speakers were David Rose, Elmo Bush-nell and Eugene Quilter. Terry Barker was ordained to the office of a Teacher on Sunday. The Ellis Johnsons have a new grandson, born to Norma and Dave Asay. The Asays just moved Into a new home and Arvella Johnson is at Salt Lake helping with the children while they are getting settled. The Dave Roses went to St. George Saturday with the Priesthood Temple Excursion. They stopped In Cedar City to visit their son Max and Kathi Rose. Verland and Lonna Rose visited with the Roses Sunday. Others attending the Temple Excursion were Bishop Bryan Johnson, Thorley and Ellis Johnson, Harry, Thora and Ma-da Partner, Dewey and Teora Willis, Iris and Elmo Bushnell, Roxie and Ralph Chynoweth, Lula Moore, Virginia Smith, Kenneth and Elsie Goulding. i Mildred Deuel visited with the Layton Smith family here and went to Escalante Friday with Thelma Smith and ton to visit with the Melvln Alvey fa- rally. Fern Willis received word from Robert and Helen Willis that Peggy Oberhansly has a baby boy, making Mrs. Willis a great grandmother. Roy and Bonnie Willis from Bryce Canyon visited her on Sunday. Some of us ventured out In the snow to go to Panguitch to the Blood Bank on Monday. |
