The Layton Barney family of Hatch and the Vera Barney family of Richfield were visiters in town Sunday. Elizabeth Barney also came back with the Vera Barneys. Kenneth Nelson, son of the Jody Purdys of Las Vegas, was blessed Sunday In Sacrament meeting: his mother la the former Loretta Barton. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Coles of Calif, were weekend visitors at the Loral Barton home. Kay Barton, Vernal Shakes-pear and Duane Stewart were the speakers In Sacrament meeting Sunday. Mary Etta Chynoweth, Helena Francisco, and Bonnie Willis were released as MIA teachers, and Deene Baugh was sustained M a teacher, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Bybee and family visited with Ella Bybee Sunday. Shaunna and Fred Syrett were home from college for the weekend. Edith Jolley fell Friday on the Ice and fractured her hip. The Dar Smith family was at the Earl Jolleya over the weekend, Dar accompanied Earl whan he took Edith to the Utah Valley Hospital In Provo. The Malen Mechams and the Larvln Pollocks spent Friday and Saturday in St. George. Cliff Barton is visiting his parents prior to being sent to Germany for military duty. Gordon Pollock was operated upon Friday In the Panguitch hospital At the recent meeting of the Tropic and East Fork Irrigation Co the following officers were elected: Alton Shakes-pesr, president : Obie Shskes-pesr, secretary: Roy Shskes-pesr, Melford Ahlstrom snd Desn Wlntch board members George Wilson was in town Saturday on business.
