Arnold and Zella had gone fishing when Tommy decided to try out the saw, he ran to his neighbor Nelda Willis for first aid. Frank Coleman wears a shoe now and walks straighter than come men who have broken a foot. Glen Imlay went to Panguitch hoping to get his cast off but the doctor was deer hunting. We noticed some of the CSU students home, , and .Dale Wilson from the Dixie College. Paul .Hansen, Hazel and Geneal Shurtz and Reva Bailey went to Sprlngville for the wedding of Jimmy Peterson. Geneal said they stopped in Richfield and took her sister Ruby Cray-craft then they came back to ,. Richfield .after the wedding and spent the night, then on home in time for meeting. Clifford LeFevre of Pan-guitch attended church here. Whltey ,and Maralda Porter went on a much needed vacation; Mayor and Mrs. Claron Griffin accompanied them. Thelda Webster made a business trip to Panguitch. The S. J. Alveys had visits from son Ray I, wife Ludean and their daughter. Kritie of Roy; a granddaughter Deann and Luther Smith and daughter Joann of Provo. 1 Billie and Minnie Davis and Sariah Alvey1 went to Panguitch for medical checkups, It was a pleasant trip as Billie and his mother-in-law argued all the way, and it was not over politics either. Relatives here got word of the death of their sister, Mary Ellen Porter Lay. The last report on Douglas Haws he still had aU of his fingers. Lorell'and Nelda Mun-son went to Salt Lake for freight The town's oldest lady, Rhoda Davis has not been .feeling too well. Betty Alvey celebrated her birthday on Halloween with the help of Sariah, Deon and Ludean Alvey, Eva Spencer, Mildred Allen, Melba Gates, Twila Mclnelly, MaeVonn Taylor,; 'DeAmi; Smith, Evadean Uston and Mary Steed. Betty's son Johnny i also had a birth-- day.: anniversary- which his school mates helped him celebrate. Reva Bailey visited her children in Mesa, Arizona. Some State; road workers stayed in town last week but they wefe working in Boulder. Guy Pollock, stayed with his .parents,: the Alan Pollocks, the others were, Welby Johnson, John Neilson and Leonard Wil-cock. Mr. Johnson got the job started then had to return to Elslnore whero his duties as mayor are quite trying. The others missed his expert advice and untiring efforts in putting the job over but are doing their best to carry on without him. He showed an unusual interest In the Gift Shop down town. On Halloween night the Teen Club sponsored a Magic Show by Bill Adams known as "Ling Lee". They had a good attendance at the show and the dance afterwards which was a costume affair with every kind of garb imaginable and some that left nothing to the imagination. There was quite a floor show. Outside of a few windows getting waxed and soaped there was not much damage by pranksters. Preparations are being made to set up another, oil rig on the Arnold Button property south of town. Areola Gates spent several days in ,the Panguitch hospital but is back home.
