Show OANNONVILLE MAS TWITCHELL Vmtors in town during the week and over the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Jones of Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Boouk of Maryland, the ladies are sisters of Sam Graff. La-Mond Davis and children were at the Sherman Davis, the children staying with their grandparents for a week. Mr. and Mrs. Don Allen were at the Kendal Duttons and also visiting with Merel's sisters. Mr. and Mrs. June Nelson were in Salt Lake on business during the week. Bp. Vaughn Twitchell spent part of the week in the Cedar City hospital due to an injury to the eye, made a trip to Cedar Tuesday of this week for more medical care. Bp. and I made a trip to Richfield on Monday on business. The reports on George Thompson are very good, he will be released from the hospital Tuesday or Wednesday and will be home the following week. The speakers in Sunday Sacrament meeting were Earl Woolsey of Escalante, Truman Lyman of Boulder and Desmond Twitchell of Cannon-ville. Mr. and Mrs. Merwin Dunham are home from Germany. Merwin has been stationed in Germany for the past three years. They landed in New York, bought a car and did a little touriing on the way home. He, along with Edgar and their father Joe spent the weekend up around Fish Lake on an Elk hunt. Mrs. Mandy Fletcher and Ar-ma Stock attended the wedding of Mandy's son Larry to Glenna of Orem'on the" 7th, ah open house was held in Rock-ville that evening and a reception in Orem on the 8th. They were married in the St. George Temple. The young couple is making a home in Salt Lake. Judy Twitchell was home from school over the weekend, she keeps saying I'll see you at Thanksgiving but if she gets a ride home she comes. Mr. and Mrs. Turner Burningham of Bountiful were weekend visitors at the June Nelsons. Mrs. Beth Twitchell and children of Antimony were at the Ira Elmers. Byron Davies spent the week In Salt Lake on business. Mrs. Myrtle Baldwin was in Salt Lake and Ogden visiting with children and other relatives. Almost forgot (o mention Mr. and Mrs. Dean Johnson of Hawthorne, Nevada and Darr Johnson of Provo spent last week with their parents, the Irving Johnsons. Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Da-vies are proud grandparents of a boy born to the Larry Da- vies of Panguitch. Ada and Rachel Thompson and Laurie Holly are in Salt Lake to be with George as much as possible while he is in the hospital there. He was operated on Tuesday. Garda Davies reports that her mother, Aunt Em to most of us is going to spend the winter in Phoenix, she will go to Las Vegas for a week first and visit son Garr and family. Mike Davies is in the service of Uncle Sam and is stationed at Fort Ord, Calif. Mike is the son of the Byron Davies. Joey Thompson and Danny Fletcher were baptised Saturday. Mrs: Gloria Clarke was sustained as Sec. in the Relief Society on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Irving Johnson are spending this week in the northern'part of the state visiting with their children. |
