Show THE WORD FROM BOULDER ALICE ALVEY Irene King's brother from California and father from Salt Lake, Kent and Alma Wilson visited at her home last week. The Mc LeFevres and LeFair Halls had Dixie Shakespear and family from Tropic for a short visit. Most of the deer hunters either got their deer and left or got disgusted and left because they didn't. Kay and Linda Ormond spent the Weekend with Carter down on the Sandy Ranch. The Richard Griffins spent a day in Panguitch on business. LeFair Hall has made several trips to Salina recently trucking cattle out. Otto Haws spent one day In Richfield recently on business. A town board meeting, atten ded very poorly, was held on the 30th to elect two new board members for the coming election. Several ordinances were discussed which the town may adopt. Obe Wright from California had his lot which he bought from Burns Ormond, surveyed last week. He plans on starting to build early in the Spring. He will have a garage which will certainly be of benefit to folks around here. LeFair Hall, the only other capable mechanic in town gets run ragged once in a while with so much to do. Several women are taking a sewing class this week under direction of Evon Olsen, Home Agent. The project is making or remodeling coats. The MIA and Primary organization held enjoyable Hallow- ' ' . , - t ?f een parties during the past week. The George Kirklands took their son Lonnie to Panguitch for a checkup last week. He is recovering from his accident very satisfactorily. The Young Ladies and Young Men's Mutual Organizations were both reorganized. Carol Coombs, La Rena HaU and Merle Coombs were sustained as President and 1st and 2nd Counselors respectively. Sandra Lyman was retained as' Secretary. George Kirkland was put in as Prsidcnt of the young men with Kay and Anthony Coombs as counselors. Paul Hansen was sustained Secretary. Golda Haws and Ivan Lyman were put in as MIA teachers. Uvon Roundy is Scout leader. Lech Kirkland and La Rena Hall were sustained as Primary teachers and Kay Coombs as teacher in the Sunday School. Several Ward members from the different organizations attended the Relief Society and Sunday School Stake meeting in Escalante Sunday. Also tho Priesthood meeting in Tropic. Clco Reed Lyman, son of the Truman Lymans was ordained a teacher in the Aaronic priesthood Sunday. Open house was held Saturday the 2nd at the Church for Merle and Kay Coombs. We're especially happy to welcome them to our community. Also Larry Coombs and his family. One of Truman Lyman's horses was struck by an automo- ( continued inside) BOULDER (Continued) bile and killed a few nights aga. We had an abundant apple crop this year in Boulder but unfortunately the worms were abundant too.
