Show Hatch Reva Lowder A large number of our folks, some with their visitors made holiday outings to the Sand Dunes, Pipe Springs or Short Creek. Bishop Layton Barney left Thursday for Salt Lake to attend Conference, accompanied by Joyce and Doris Barney and Fstella Riggs. Dennis Barn-hurst returned home with him after a week's stay in the hospital there, Mrs. Don L. Ipson of Salt Lake also returned here with him. Kenneth Barney entertained several friends on his 12th birthday. Mr. and Mrss Sam Evans vis- Red the John Mcchams In Tropic the first part of last week. Wednesday Sam and Jess went to Cedar City, Jess stayed there and accompanied friends to Salt Lake to Conference. Visiting the Evans for several days were the Gary Evans family and Kirk Evans of Cedar; Sunday guests were the Gerald Glffords of La Vcrkln. The Gib Clarks of Kanab visited at the Grant Dalton home. Visiting the T. H. Sawyers on Thursday were the Leon Wool-eys of Orem; weekend visitors were the Robert Palmers of Nevada; Mrs. Roy Shakcspcar and sons of Tropic visited Saturday end Monday. Kevin Shakcspcar stayed overnight Saturday at the David Sawyer home, then the Sawyers and Mary Beth ' Lowder took him home to Tropic Sunday. Dennis Dalton Injured his shoulder while high jumping, Mrs. Dalton took him to the Panguitch hospital for x-rays and treatment. Barbara Barney hurt her head when playing on the playgrounds, her mother took her to the hospital for x-lays and treatment. Robert Wilson was taken to the hospital to have several stitches close a cut on his head. Dick Harrison was a business visitor In Sallna Thursday. Friday Mrs. Harrison went to St. George and brought daughter Diana Gale home for the weekend. Arvil and Abbie Fallis of Fallon, Nev. visited in town several, Abbie will be home to stay next month. Visiting at the Ranch Friday with Mary Little and family were the Aerial Alveys of Es-calante and their daughter La Vee and the James Little family. The Ladd Holts of Salt L,ake visited several d, lys with the Cloyd Campbells; the Philip Robertsons of Alton were visitors on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Wilson vere business visitors In Sallna on Wednesday. Weekend visitors at the Frank Barneys were the Gordon Barneys of Tooele, Ferrll Barney and friend of BYU and the Vern Barneys of Richfield. The HdmeFDuttons of Cedar spent the weekend with Mar-cie Dutton; the Jay Duttons of Kanab were Sunday guests. The Theo Tates of Fredonla spent Saturday at the Phil Burrows home. |
