Show PANGUITCH Mr. and Mrs. Scott Worthen are home a bit early from Tern-pe, Arizona where they spent the winter, they came up to attend funeral services at Salt Lake for Scott's brother, S. A. Worthen. Sgt. Clark J. Tebbs and family have been transferred to. Pease AFB in New Hampshire from Wichita Falls, Texas. Spending the Easter weekend with their mother, Mrs. Grace Young were Mr. and Mrs James N. Young and baby of Salt Lake, Lester J. and Theda Peterson and family of Mt. Home, Idaho, Linden and Annette Hatch and son of Cedar City, Tom and Helen Bird of Clrcleville. John II. and Myrtle Prince, children Kathy and Douglas, and Christine Tebbs, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Sterling Tebbs, visited at the W.C. Tebbs home, John and Myrtle attended conference at Salt Lake for four days while the kiddies stayed here with grandma and grandpa Tebbs and enjoyed a few days at the Parks for their Easter vacation. They returned to Los Angeles on Saturday. Capt. Gordon C. Henrie and wife will leave Ankara, Turkey on April 20 to fly to Izmir, Turkey to meet Apostle Hunter and wife, also Larry Schaat, Service Men's coordinator for the French mission. They will stay at lzmar two days, then fly back to Ankara for 1 days, then fly to Addna, Turkey for two days, returning to Ankara April 25th. They will meet with the Service men of the LDS Church at each place. Gordon will be responsible for all arrangements of the tour. Mr. and Mrs. J. Earl Allen are home after completing a LDS mission in Texas. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Knowles have moved to Panguitch from' San Jacinto, Calif. Dick and LaRue Excell made a trip to Twin Falls, Idaho to pick up seed grain for their store, last Thursday to Saturday. Max Excell and son Steven came over from Cedar City to take care of the store while they were gone. Velta Miller and Molly D. Ileid have been busy entertaining company. Tuesday of last week, Janice and Francine Al-theimer of San Diego, twin great granddaughters of Mrs. Reid, visited on their way to Salt Lake to attend conference. Lawrence and Rita Summit of San Diego spent four days with her mother, Mrs. Reid, and sister Mrs. Miller. Weekend visit- ors at the Miller home were Mr. and Mrs. Grant Reid, daughter Louise and her girl friend Kathy of Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Davis and six children of Pleasant Grove spent the holiday weekend with their parents, Mrs. Velta Miller and the Lyman Davis'. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Cooper spent the Easter weekend at Salt Lake attending conference and visiting daughter Tonl and her husband Dana Harvey. Arthur Cooper came up from Tucson to join the family group. Connie and Kristlne Mlkulew-Ick accompanied the Coopers up north to visit their sister Pat and family, the Reed Roberts at Bountiful. The Literary Club will meet ft the home of Elfa Tebbs on April 18th at 3 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Church ?re home after spending the winter at Salt Lake. On their way down they stopped at Ne-uhl to visit their daughter and family, the Don Eyres. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Tebbs, daughters Joyce and Luclnda, and Mrs. Ruth Tebbs went to Salt Lake Thursday. While the others remained there to visit and attend conference, Ncdra and Dan went to Denver for a business appointment with J. F. Barnum of Montgomery Ward Co. to finalize plans for a catalogue sales agency for this area. Mrs. Jane Naylor is home after spending the winter up north and in Calif, with her children. Mrs. Clara Ipson returned home Sunday after a three weeks visit at the home of Mrs. Dana Larson in Rlverton. Mrs. Horace Myers spent Easter weekend at the home of Jim and Sherlene Osterud in Murray. They attended the Li-berace silver anniversary show at the Valley Music Hall while there. |
