Show Fund Raising Finale The final Dinner Party to be given by the Relief Society of Boulder is tentatively scheduled for February 22, at the South Ward Church in Escal-ante A series of four dinners have been given in a campaign to get funds for the decorating of the new Boulder Church. The Ward is now faced with a debt of $10,000 to provide the furnishings for the building. Pews for the chapel have been installed, the furniture for the bishop's offico and classrooms have arrived, also a new piano. We have a new modern kitchen, but have yet to equip it with a refrigerator and stove. The draperies are expected soon. This concluding dinner will feature as special guests the Garfield Stake presidency and High Council members, also many members of Garfield Stake. The dinner is $5.00 a plate. The Relief Society wish to extend an Invitation to all who would like to come to the dinner. If you will send a card to Nothella Woolsey in Escalante, you will be Included In the final plans. Hope Dalton was sustained as a visiting teacher in Relief Society, also as a teacher In tfie Primary. Gal Wilcockwas sustained as an organist in the MIA. The Scouts presented the program In Sacrament meeting In honor of Scout week, with Delten Campbell In charge Tho colors were presented by Steven Evans, Mike Evans and Hal Wilcock; organ solo by Rcva Lowder; talks by Richard Dix, Gene Wilson, Eldan Porter; piano solo, Hal Wilcock. ! i : Duard Iliggs took a group of younger Scouts on a camping trip Friday night. Visiting with the Orlas Higgs family Is her mother Mrs. Smith; the Riggs' are sporting a newer car. The Vcrn Barneys of Richfield were here Tuesday, Flo-ricne Barney went with them to Los Angeles to get a new baby boy. The Jerry Anderson family visited on Sunday with Sarah Porter and girls. LaRue Porter went with them to their home in Calif, for a visit. Mrs. Sherman Cameron of Sprlngville is visiting at tho LaMar Barney home. The Barton Deuels of Escalante visited the Osmyn Deuels LaVal and Arnold Sawyer ! returned to work Sunday in j Wayne Co. Mrs. Sawyer left j for Lehi to visit her sister Therma, the Almond Robinson i family. I Mrs. Lamond Davis and 3 ; children of Cedar City spent the weekend with her parents, the Gale Wilcocks, Sunday Lamond came to take them home. The testimonial and dance for Gary Evans Saturday was a big success. A largo number of friends from Panguitch, Alton and Cedar City attended. Visiting the Sam Evans family and attending the dance wero tho Kendal Giffords, the Seegmiller family of Spring-dale, and the Gerald GIfford family of LaVerkin. Attending funeral services in St George for Mrs. Janettc Campbell were the Cloyd Campbells, the Russell Wilsons, the Bob Evans' Myrtle Woodard. Ruth Wilson accompanied the Evans' to Dixie and visited her folks, Mr. and Mrs M. H. Barnhurst. The Allen Huntingtons of Fredonia spent Sunday with ihls folks, the Wiley Hunting-tons. The Ronald Sawyers of Ka-nab spent the weekend at the Garth Heap home. Mr. and Mrs. Irving Johnson returned to Nevada last week, Mrs. Johnson seemed to bo improving a great deal. Tho Pete Chlldcrs family of Calif, are visiting the Grant Dalton family. |
