Show Riding Clubs Meet At Panguitch All Day On Saturday, July 8 The thunder of hooves will set the tempo at Panguitch this Saturday, July 8th, as more than 300 mounts arc put through their paces at the annual District 9 Riding Clubs Meet of the Utah State West-ern Riding Clubs Assn. According to Jim Peterson of Panguitch, chairman of tho arrangements committee, riders and mounts from Hurricane, St. George, Parowan, Cedar City and Panguitch will compete In a variety of events all day .long, .ranging from the "Ladies Pleasure Horse Class" at 10:00 In tho .morning to the rodco-llke wild cow mUking which will bo run off about 10:00 in the cenlng. Flat races, some using the new Panguitch quarter milo straight-away (the Jaycees bu.lt the fence on it) will feature the afternoon session. There will be three session with one $1.25 ticket admitting an adult to all three sessions, or one 50c ticket admitting a child under 12. The morning session begins at 10:00 A.M., the afternoon events start at 2:P.M., and the evening events, touched off by a parade up Pan-gulch's Main Street, commence at 7:30 P.M. |
