Show TROPIC Klin Arinfi Cliff Barton celebrated his 9th birthday Jan. 24th. The High Priests and their partners had a party in the . Recreation Hall Saturday evening. They enjoyed a program, dancing and refreshments. During the week, Mr. aqd Mrs. Robert Ott and family visited with Mrs. James R. Ott in St. George. Mrs. Charles Wintch returned to Tropic with them. A birthday party for Agnes Littlefield was celebrated at the Charles-Wintch home -Tuesday evening; family members and. relatives were present. Melford Ahlstrom is the new Stake Sunday School Superintendent, with Wallace Ott and Charles Francisco as assistants, and Mabel Ott as s secretary. Sunday, they all visited the Sundify Schools of Escalante and Boulder. Vivian Adair and Margaret Mccham arc home from the hospital. Lucy Shakespear is In the hospital recovering from pneumonia. Speakers in Sacrament meeting were Bishop Malen Mccham, Thomas Richards, Lcnorc Johanscn, Ilan Pollock. Jancal Spencer and Arvon-ne Alvey were recent visitors at the Arnold Adair home: weekend guests were. Patsy Ramsdcn of Arizona, Bonnie Adair and Gail Miles. Mr. and Mrs. Andy Spencer were visitors here on Sunday. Weekend visitors in town were Richard Munson; Herman Pollock. Mr. and Mrs. Reldon Richards have moved to Tropic and, are living in the Silas Munson home. George Sevy attended meet- - - - - r ings at Salt Lake last week on school business. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Shakespear were recent Salt Lake visitors. The adult education class in sewing is still being held Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. in the home ec. room. There is no registration fee charged. The Relief Society will present a special program the first of March. The Elders quorum is selling tickets on 40 bales of hay to be given away in a missionary dance in the near future. Lareno and Irene Munson are at Salt Lake this week receiving medical care. Thelma Jolley has a new grandson, born to Mr. and Mrs Bernell Twltchell of Cedar City. Several Tropic stockmen are down to 4 mile, checking on their cattle and moving them from the loco weed. Ruth Marshall is visiting in Panguitch visiting with her brother and family. The Kent Wintch family, Mlra Loy Ott and Suzanna Wintch were in Cedar City last week for optical care. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Shakes-pear, Minnie and Verdella Nlelson were visitors in Cedar City last week. Mr. and Mrs. Bernell McAllister were recent visitors with Annie Colvjn and Merle Richards. |
