Show Bobcats Cinch So. Sevier Title In a thrill-packed game . tho Panguitch Bobcats defeated Pluto 4C-41 at Panguitch Wednesday night and cinched the South Sevier basketball championship. Last three minutes of .the game became a see-saw affair of scoring. John Johnson finally ended the teetering to put Pangulch ahead with a threo point advantage. High scorers were Jim Hatch 13, Worthen 11, Miller 10, for the Bobcats; Haycock 12, for Piute. Marysvale, fastest improving team, in the league really startled Bryce Val- ' ley with the game, also on Wednesday endlngin a 39-39 tie,, and Bryco eking it out to 50-47 1n an overtime period at Tropic. Last Friday Bryce de-i ifeated Escalante by n. 73-47 score with Mecham getting 26 points. Saturday Panguitch defeated Marysvale at Rlchfiold by a CG-34 score, with high scorers' being Miller 17, "Wor- then 17, Steele 12. This coming Monday " Panguitch, will play Dixie , at St. George In a non-i league' game. |
