The Irrigation studies being made this summer on Frank Hen-rle's, Tom Dodds of Pangultch, Thorley Johnson of Henrlevllle, and the Spencer brothers ranch In Escalante are showing some good result so far. They are Indicating that Irrigation can be made without excessive loss of water thru deep percolation and bottom of the field run-off. They have opened the eyes of a lot of us on penetration, Infiltration, water holding capacity of soils, amount of water applied on the land and other similar water reactions. I hope that many of you who read this rolumn will ask these boys about their study and what they are learning from them. |
