Show Field Day Planned At State Experimental Farm The annual Experiment Farm Field Day will be held Thursday, Aunimt 6. according to Kay Den-illxscn, County Agent. Activities will be from 1 to 5 P.M. Dr. It. 11. Walker, Experiment f tat Ion Director, will explain the farm program The whole farm v. Ill be toured and the new crops and Iniproemeiit explained. The tour will begin at the renovated farm house and proceed as follows: new crops, new legumes, l.cef cattle, drainage, river bank stabilization, winter shelter, feeding facilities for cattle, land leveling. Irrigation and soli fertility. The Experiment Station Staff and local SCS Personnel will con- duct the lour, explain and,dem-natrnte each experiment. Immediately following the tour the Pan-I'ultch Lions Club, Ruatnessnien's Assn, and the Jaycees will profile watermelon to those present., The Experiment Farm can mean a lot to the people In Gar-lield and surrounding counties. New Information gained by experimental work on the farm of its many and varied experiments, ran be used to help ranchers and farmers to make a better living. This will Increase 1ulnes In the whole of southern t'tah.
