Show Thanksgiving I Proclamation us ir- Thursday, November 29th, ism-Thanksgiving ism-Thanksgiving day. Let us be thankful for the privilege of tints contributing to our beloved country and to the nations na-tions allied with ours the foodstuffs food-stuffs that will supply our armies in the field aud in camp and ward off famine among the civilian population of the civilized world. "While giving thanks to God for the manifold blessings we have received, let us also resolve that wc will do our full duty toward to-ward our country in this hour of need, aud subordinate all private interests iu the interest of the government gov-ernment in this emergency. "In view of these considerations considera-tions and in conformity with proclamation proc-lamation of the Honorable Wood-row Wood-row Wilson, president of the United States, "I, Simon Bamberger, governor of the State of Utah, do hereby proclaim and set aside Thursday, November 20, 1917, as Thanksgiving Thanksgiv-ing day, and, in the observance of this holiday, 1 call upon all Godfearing, God-fearing, patriotic liberty-loving citizens to forego business and to gather in their respective places of worship to thank God for His bounteous blessings and to pray for the safety of the republic. |
